If I was a Lemon Pie, right now I would probably have turned into lemonade. Oh gosh, whatever that means. I am tired in a way I had forgotten was possible. Banana legs, tingly feet. I worked for 11 hours again and that is just way too much. Tomorrow I will go home earlier. The big publication for my NGO is coming together along nicely though - several monts of hard work and soon I´ll see the final final final! Today at work the Swiss coperation team visited for lunch and we had a great discussion on Bio fuel, inflation and lack of food for poor communities. It is a jungle! By the end of the day I went to my artist friend "Lorita" - little parrot friend Ceci and we worked together on the publication design. I also had Herbalife for dinner.
Girls of the Playboy Mansion. Too tired to reach for the remote. I´ve got cable TV and that makes for some serious distraction danger. I am warm and cosy and waiting for my "Tigrito" to pass by. A little while ago I went to Ripley (fancy department story where the over class and part of the upper middle class and comfortable foreigners buy their clothes) to sacrifice some hard earned money of my 500 dollar monthly salary on a warm sweater for winter and the office with the leaking window. I passed by the "Earth from above" exhibition two times in the central park in Miraflores. In 2003 I saw it in Finland. It has grown quite a lot since! Then when I came home I just had to have a little slice of my special Spanish tortilla all though I was not supposed to! It´s got tune and tomate in it too! Yummy!
Right now I am thinking about wine and chocolate. Tomorrow early morning I´ll go running and have a hot nice bath at a friends house! Over here the hot water does not seem to work at the moment. I think it works with gas? The traffic in Lima is getting really bad, several big avenues have been closed for months and the madness is impossible. So running is for early hours. Crossing streets have become an extreme sport and coming home means being safe at last.
Back to the story on Peruvian cuisine and my e-mail for UNESCO. Extra Productiveness is my new plan on everyday basis!
And also, remember the greatness of rainbows. They symbolize what I need right now. (El templo del Arco Iris, the Rainbow Temple, in Trujillo close to Chan Chan, as seen above.)
Monday is a new start and to celebrate that, you might want to enjoy my talented boyfriends compositions over here: http://www.myspace.com/loquitosmansos
Hasta mañana Loritos y Loritas. I love the nicknames over here :)
