If I was an apple tree

September 3rd and 23 years of sun and rain. Everytime I turn a year older my dad tells me about the windy, cold day I was born, about the storm or the frost, the first day of real autumn, winter. Forever changes. Autumn is everywhere, in the cold crisp air and in the deep dark skies, the heavy sullen moon, the warm, nostalgic music. Life is the light we see and the love we´ll be.

I had a beautiful but sleepy birthday. My first day free from work - the local newspaper job has ended. Tomorrow I head for Helsinki and later on Turku. I hope everything clicks. My cat is asleep on the printer. I got a lovely pillow case today. Printed over it, In Finnish it says:

"Jos sinä olet omenapuu tahdon minä olla omena. Jos sinä sytyt tuleen tahdon minä olla vesi tai herkästi syttyvä aine. Jos sinä hukut tahdon minä olla pohja tai virta. Jos sinä katsot kauas tahdon minä olla etäinen piste. Jos sinä suljet luomesi tahdon minä olla äkillinen pimeys." (Tommy Tabermann)

which makes for something like:

"If you were an apple tree, I would like to be an apple. If you caught fire, I would like to be water or an highly flammable substance. I you were to drown yourself, I would like to be the bottom or the stream. If you look far away, I would like to be the distant point. If you close your eyes I would like the be the sudden darkness. (Tommy Tabermann)

Loopduplicate my heart, dear life.
